“Will I need a permit for my swimming pool kit?”
Great question and an important one! Permits are sometimes required to put in a swimming pool; we highly recommend looking into permitting in your area before buying a pool kit.
“Where do I go to apply for a permit?”
Your municipality or local borough office is a great place to start. Most times you can stop in and speak with someone directly to obtain the requirements and paperwork on permits, or you can sometimes print the information right off the internet. The paperwork should state the terms of what is allowed at your location and what will need to be approved.
“Do you take care of the permitting?”
Unfortunately, because everyone’s situation & location is a little different, we do not handle the process of pulling permits, but we are more than happy to help you along the way!
“Do you have the drawings and information I need available to apply for permitting?”
We have dig sheets. dimensions and panel layouts ready to send your way when you are ready for them. Sometimes this is all the permit office needs to approve your pool. If more detail is needed, we offer stamped sealed engineered drawings for an additional cost on our pool kits. These take an extra amount of time to get back so be sure to keep that in mind when you are planning the timeline of your pool build.
If engineered drawings are needed, we recommend that you order them prior to ordering your pool kit. Engineered drawings are non-refundable. Previous customers have had great success in obtaining permit approval with the help of our engineered drawings.
“Should I have a permit in place before I order?”
It is not required but highly recommended to have one in place before you order. We recommend all customers know what’s required with permitting in their area and what they will need to ensure the outdoor project goes smoothly on our end and their end. Please note pool kits are non-refundable and can not be returned in the event you can not obtain a permit.
