How to Use the Poolife NST Feeder
- Turn Off the Pump: Always turn off your pool’s circulation system before opening the feeder to ensure safe handling and relieve pressure.
- Load the Cartridge: Open the feeder and insert up to 8 Poolife™ NST™ Prime Cal Hypo Tablets into the removable cartridge.
- Adjust the Flow: Turn your pump back on and use the feeder’s control valve to dial in your desired output. Your goal is to maintain a Free Available Chlorine (FAC) level between 1–4 ppm.
- Monitor & Refill: Check the cartridge every 1–2 weeks during peak swimming season. Typically, the feeder will need to be refilled every 2–3 weeks depending on your pool size and swimmer load.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is this better than my standard inline chlorinator? Standard chlorinators are built for Trichlor tablets, which contain cyanuric acid (CYA). Over time, CYA builds up, causing “chlorine lock” and forcing you to drain your pool water. This feeder uses Cal Hypo, which contains zero CYA, keeping your water balanced and saving you hundreds of gallons of water.
