• No wall framing modifications — the Oakport stands free in the room on its own cast-iron legs. You need a gas line and a direct-vent path through an exterior wall (or roof), but you don’t need to cut into a wall, build a chase, or coordinate framing changes.
• Four-sided radiant heat — because the stove sits in the open, heat radiates from all four sides plus the top, warming the surrounding room more evenly than a wall-mounted fireplace that radiates from a single face
• Flexible placement — corner installation, against an exterior wall, or even mid-room (as a peninsula). The direct vent pipes through the nearest exterior wall regardless of where the stove sits in the room.
